But only by Bonn and Cologne i even go outside the train too make city trips

Mainz, small? I don’t know what your references are but 220.000 inhabitants is to me a rather large town. Small city gems in Germany to me are places like Monschau, Dinkelsbühl or Quedlinburg – none close to the Rhine though. I have not been to the Rhine yet, but plan to hike along it this summer.
This video is full with mistakes…there is a lot other places that kann be in top 7 ….
