Ride along the Riverfront Trail in Grand Junction, Colorado
On our travels to Iowa to ride in RAGBRAI (ride across Iowa), we stop in Grand Junction, Colorado. To keep our legs limber, we decide to bike along the Colorado River on the Riverfront Trail. The Riverfront Trail is a relatively smooth and flat path of about 24 miles. The video begins at the corner of D ½ Road and 33 ½ Road and heads west.

This is my third year with my Sunseeker Tadpole Recumbent Trike and I have ridden this complete trail I don’t know how many times and I never get tired of it. I’ve done a 35-mile ride twice but getting off and on in parks and Frisby Golf spot trails and others that dead end at the river etc., I’ve never done the entire trail in one ride. It’s missing two miles where you have to use a paved road where the trail ends at Las Colonias Park near 27 Road to 29 Road and it picks up again through Clifton to 33 1/2 Road. The Loma end is near where the famous Kokopelli Trail to Moab Utah starts out of Loma.
